Loan Management
Loans given, instalments due, markup or service charges applied, and the amount genuinely outstanding — per borrower, on demand.
Small lending goes wrong in the arithmetic, not the intention. A loan is given, a repayment schedule is agreed verbally, two payments come late, a part payment is made in cash, and six months later the lender and the borrower have different numbers in their heads. Both are sincere. Only one register exists, and it is incomplete.
What gets built is the record that makes the balance indisputable: principal disbursed, the agreed schedule, each repayment with its date, how markup or service charges are applied, and what remains. The software computes and reports. It does not make the lending licensed, lawful or safe, and it should not be sold to you as though it did.
What it fixes
- Outstanding balances recalculated by hand every time a borrower asks
- Part payments and late payments applied inconsistently, which is exactly where trust breaks
- No single figure for total money out on loan at any given moment
- Borrower documents — CNIC, guarantee, cheque or post-dated instrument — held loose in a file
- Repayment dates tracked in a diary, so a borrower going quiet is noticed weeks later
- No borrower history, so a repeat applicant's past behaviour is assessed from memory
What gets built
A starting point, not a fixed list. The build is scoped to your own process before anything is written.
Borrower file
Identity, contact details, documents and any guarantor or security recorded against the borrower, together with every loan taken previously.
Loan setup and schedule
Principal, tenure, instalment amount and the markup or service charge method defined per loan, with a schedule generated from the disbursement date.
Repayment entry
Each receipt recorded against the schedule, with the allocation rule — charges first, or principal first — fixed by configuration rather than by whoever happens to enter it.
Outstanding and ageing
Per borrower and in total: what is due, what is overdue and for how long, and the total exposure of the business today.
Statements and receipts
A printable receipt at the moment of payment and a full statement per loan, so the borrower holds the same numbers you do.
Access control and audit trail
Who can disburse, who can only record a receipt, and who can amend a posted entry, with every amendment logged. In a lending book this matters more than any report on the screen.
Who this is for
Small lenders, cooperative and welfare funds, employer staff-advance schemes, and businesses that lend to their own dealers or parties — suited to a book of roughly twenty loans upward where more than one person touches the records. It is not for a regulated microfinance institution with statutory reporting obligations; that needs a compliance-led build with an auditor in the room. It also does not on its own make your lending lawful or your money recoverable. It keeps the record straight, which is a smaller and more honest claim.
Questions
Can it handle interest-free lending, or profit calculated our own way?
Yes — the charge method is configured rather than fixed, so a flat service charge, a declining-balance markup or no charge at all can each be set up. Tell us precisely how you calculate today, including how you treat a late payment, because that detail decides the model and is painful to change afterwards.
Does this make us compliant?
No. Software records transactions; it does not grant a licence or satisfy a regulator. If you are lending at scale or to the public, take advice from someone qualified about what you are permitted to do. What a build genuinely gives you is complete, access-controlled records — usually what you are asked for, but not the same thing as compliance.
Can we send automatic payment reminders?
SMS or WhatsApp reminders can be added and they do reduce casual lateness. Both carry a per-message cost, and the WhatsApp Business API needs its own approval and template process. We scope it as an addition with its running cost stated, rather than including it by default.
Tell us how your lending business runs.
We scope it first — what it takes, how long, what it costs. No obligation.
