Code samples
Code snippets in blog posts are provided as-is under the MIT license unless otherwise stated. Use at your own risk. They are illustrative of patterns I use in production but are not maintained as a standalone library.
Engagement terms
If we agree to work together, a separate written Statement of Work (SOW) will govern the engagement. The SOW will cover scope, milestones, deliverables, payment terms, IP assignment, and confidentiality. Until an SOW is signed, no engagement exists.
Free consultations
I offer free 30-minute scoping calls via Calendly. These are exploratory and create no contractual obligation on either side. Anything discussed is held in confidence by mutual understanding.
No warranty on advice
Blog posts, social posts, and casual advice via email or DMs are my personal opinions based on my experience. They are not formal engineering or legal advice. Don't deploy blog code to mainnet without your own review.
Third-party services
This site uses Google Analytics, Calendly, and other third-party tools. Each is governed by its own terms. I am not responsible for their availability or behavior.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Pakistani and applicable international law, Hassan Javed is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site or its content. Maximum aggregate liability for any direct claim is capped at the amount you paid to me in the 6 months preceding the claim (likely zero for non-clients).
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Islamabad.
Changes
I update these terms when meaningful changes occur. The 'last updated' date reflects the most recent revision.
